How I Can Help
Teen Years

Adolescence is a time of rapid change, and teenagers need a space where they feel truly heard.
The teenage years bring growth on every level: physical, emotional and social. For many young people, it’s also a time of confusion, pressure and feelings they don’t yet have words for. I work with teenagers to help them understand themselves, build resilience, and move through these years with greater confidence.

You are not alone
Do Any of These Feel a Little Too Close to Home?
01
Early Teens (11–13)
Changing bodies, shifting friendships and new emotions can feel overwhelming. I help young teens make sense of what they’re experiencing and develop healthy ways of expressing themselves.

02
Middle Teens (14–16)
This is often when peer pressure, academic stress, social media, self-image and first relationships take centre stage. I’ll support your teen in building self-worth, setting boundaries and managing anxiety.
03
Late Teens (17–19)
Board exams, career decisions and the prospect of independence can bring intense pressure. Together, we’ll work on focus, exam anxiety, decision-making, and preparing emotionally for the next chapter.

When The Family Changes
Divorce, separation, or growing up in a single-parent home can deeply affect how a teenager feels about themselves and the people they love. Your teen may be carrying anger, sadness, divided loyalties, or a quiet sense that it was somehow their fault, often without showing it at home. I offer a neutral, safe space where they can express what they’re feeling without worrying about hurting either parent. Together, we’ll work on making sense of the changes, adjusting to new routines and relationships, and rebuilding a sense of stability and security.
How I Support Your Teen
Teenagers often open up more easily through creative, practical approaches. Alongside counselling, I use metaphor therapy, hypnotherapy for exam stress and confidence, and graphotherapy as a hands-on daily practice. Sessions are a confidential space for your teen. What they share stays between us, unless I believe their safety or someone else’s is at risk, in which case I’ll involve parents or the appropriate support. This trust is what allows teenagers to open up honestly.
Support for Parents
Parenting a teenager can be just as challenging, especially if you’re parenting alone or going through a separation. I offer guidance to parents who want to understand their child better, support them through family transitions, and strengthen their connection, whatever your family looks like today.
